Nomads hold protest

Excelsior Correspondent
POONCH, Apr 25: The nomads staged protest at Behramgala area for not allowing them to move from Mughal road to reach their hamlet.
As per the information, nomad families along with their cattle from Rajouri District were on their way towards Hirpora hamlet via Mughal road but police didn’t allow their vehicles to move further from Behramgala.
They blocked the road and demanded to allow them to move forward. They said that despite the permission of moving to our hamlet given by the Magistrate, police is not allowing them to move from this road towards hamlet and they are suffering due to that. Station House Officer, Niaz Ahmed when contacted said that these families were halted because of the two reasons–one that admin has yet not ordered vehicular movement on this road and other is whether condition on this road was not favourable. SDPO Surankote also reached the spot after which these nomad families were adjusted to stay in Panar Chandimarh area. The nomads will be allowed to move after administration will take any decision on opening of Mughal road.
