JAMMU, Sept 4: The Non camp migrant organisation held a demonstration in front of Press Club here today demanding allotment of quarters to migrant families putting up in rented accommodations at Jagti.
The non camp migrants including men, women and children took part in the demonstration. With banners in their hands they raised slogans in support of their demands.
Besides the allotment of quarters they also demanded enhancement of cash relief and implementation of employment package in toto.
The demonstration was led by Nana Ji Dembi, president of the organisation. He urged the relief authorities for early allotment of quarters at Jagti as the non camp migrants who are not in a position to bear the rent in these days when prices have sky rocketed are suffering.
The chairman of the organization Manmohan Ganjoo declared that the protest will continue till the quarters are allotted and other issues are settled. The organization also extended full support to relief holders and Jagti inmates who are on protest.
