JAMMU, Mar 30: Non Camp Migrant Organization led by its president Nana Ji Dembi held a rally at Press Club here in support of their demand.
Later they met MLC Vijay Bakaya and sought his intervention in early allotment of quarters at Jagti to 190 verified non camp migrant families. Mr Dembi said these migrants are putting up in rented accommodations for last 22 years and were facing many hardships.
Mr Bakaya assured them that all the 190 verified families will be accommodated at Jagti township. He urged the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita that without any delay these migrants be accommodated at Jagti. He also assured them to discuss the issue with Chief Minister. Others who addressed included M K Yogi working president NC Minority Cell, Kiran Kumar Pandita, Kashyap Tickoo and O N Koul.
