JAMMU, Mar 16: A nonagenarian woman was killed in accident in Chak Mohammad Yar area of RS Pura here today, police sources said.
The deceased was identified as Banti Devi (95), wife of Teja Ram, a resident of Chak Mohammad Yar RS Pura District Jammu.
She was seriously injured after a vehicle hit her near her residence and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where she failed to respond to the treatment, and succumbed to her injuries at around 9 pm.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of GMCH Jammu for autopsy.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
