JAMMU, Mar 16: After Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department (CAPD) employees called off their strike, around 12000 quintals food grains was lifted today across Jammu Division and it is expected that tomorrow the lifting will be almost double.
This was stated by Director, CAPD Department, GS Chib in a meeting held with the officers here today.
He said that the department is contemplating to fast track supplies/distribution of current month as well as ending supply of February 2016 under NFSA.
All TSOs and ADS have been directed to personally monitor supply position and its distribution at each fair price shop level to ensure its distribution.
Besides around 1500 quintals of rice and atta have been inducted in Depots of Jammu city and the supply will come on normal mode from tomorrow.
He requested the general public and the beneficiaries in particular to cooperate with the department and in case of any complaint against any dealer or staff, they can contact him, Assistant Directors and TSOs.
District Grievances Redressal Officers have been requested to dispose of the complaints of the beneficiaries on merits.
