LEH, Aug 24: Ladakh unit of BJP has refuted the news item which reported that BJP Ladakh was disassociating itself from the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA).
In a press conference here today BJP leaders of Ladakh said that the misleading news was handiwork of certain mischievous elements who don’t like peace and progress that Ladakh has made.
“Neither we were dissociated with LBA nor will we do so even in future,” a BJP leader of Ladakh told reporters.
He also said that the news channel that aired the wrong news should apologize before the public of Ladakh for its slanderous mistake.
On issues of Ladakh, he said that all the BJP leaders and workers have cleared their stand to the public of Ladakh in that regard.
On statehood to Ladakh he said that there should be discussion over the issue inviting all the stakeholders and making hasty decisions should be avoided.
“We are not interested to accommodate views of one or two people in this regard and will prefer invite all to talk and discuss the issue in this regard,” he maintained.
