JAMMU, Sept 27: Noted writer, columnist and a prominent social worker Ayodhya Nath Kerni passed away today at his residence in Housing Colony Udhampur. His last rites were performed in the afternoon at Devika Ghat.
Born on January 26, 1947, Kerni joined the Army in 1966 after completion of Graduation from Agra University. He retired from Army in 1983 and thereafter joined as Auditor in Defence Accounts.
He has written many books on various subjects and contributed immensely in the Sunday Magazine of Daily Excelsior. His demise has been widely mourned.
