Notice issued to 28 people for vacating state land

POONCH, Apr 18: Tehsildar Haveli has issued notice to 28 persons under Section 133 of Land Revenue Act to vacate state land with in seven days, while the deputation of these people met with Deputy Commissioner Poonch for his intervention into the matter.
Reports said that Revenue officials had demarcated many locations of Poonch city during February this year, following which Tehsildar Haveli Anjum Bashir Khatak has now issued notices to vacate the state land, mentioning that 3 have encroached state land near Star hotel, 13 are on Gair Mumkin Kassi, one has encroached Municipality land, 8 are on hospital land, 2 on Fort land, whereas, one has encroached road.
The Administration has asked all these encroachers to vacate the land within 7 days or submit a reply to tehsildar office, why they should not be evicted, failing which further proceedings shall be initiated without giving any other notice.
Meanwhile, a deputation of these people met with Deputy Commissioner Poonch, demanding constitution of a committee and include retired officials from Revenue Department for actual demarcation of land. They also asked for some time to submit their reply.
After meeting with DC, Bashir Mir and other people while talking to media said that they have bought the land with mutation and if it would have the state land then the officials at that time would have not prepared their documents.
