KARGIL, July 17: Deputy Commissioner, Fida Hussain today issued notification for election to Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC).
According to the notification, the election will be held on August 22 and counting of votes will take place on August 28. The filing of nomination papers will begin on July 27 and continue till August 3. The scrutiny of papers will take place on August 4 and the date for withdrawal of papers is August 6.
The entire election process will be completed by September 2 with the formation of new Hill Council.
