JAMMU, May 10: Tightening noose against bovine smugglers, Jhajjar Kotli police apprehended one notorious bovine smuggler from Qazigund area with the help of Kulgam Police and booked him under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).
Pertinent to mention here that this is the 4th PSA slapped against bovine smugglers within two months in Sub-division Nagrota, which shows the commitment of Jammu Police towards ensuring the peace and harmony in Jammu area.
The PSA was slapped against the accused identified as Talib Hussain son of Bashir Ahmed resident of Janakha (Dansal, Jammu), following his repeated engagement in criminal/bovine smuggling activities due to which the sentiments of particular community have been hurt badly.
Multiple FIRs are registered against the accused for indulging in bovine smuggling in Police Stations Bagh-e-Bahu, Channi, Ramban and Jhajjar Kotli.
The warrant of accused was executed by PSI Ishfaq Ahmed of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli.
