JAMMU, May 30: A notorious criminal and his accomplice were arrested by police in RS Pura area here today.
According to a police official, Sunil Kumar alias Gokul of Chak Aslam, Tehsil RS Pura and his accomplice Balbinder Kumar alias Sooraj of Ward Number 4, Tehsil RS Pura, who were wanted in several criminal cases including those registered under attempt to murder and Arms Act, have been arrested by a team of Police Station RS Pura.
“Both the criminals were promoting criminal activities in the area by using illegal Arms. Despite registration of several FIRs against the duo, they did not mend their activities and thus posing a threat to the peace in the area,” he said, adding that the arrest of the criminal is a major success for the police and relief for the people living in the area.
