JAMMU, June 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police in RS Pura Area apprehended a notorious criminal who was wanted in several cases.
A police spokesperson said that Sohan Lal alias Sonu, a history-sheeter, residing in Chakrohi, Suchetgarh, was involved in 17 cases, which included burglaries and violations of NDPS Act, registered at Police Station RS Pura.
Acting upon an order issued by the District Magistrate on June 22, 2023, the police obtained the arrest warrant against the accused and accordingly, a team of RS Pura Police Station led by SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna, assisted by SHO RS Pura, Inspector Pawan Kumar, arrested the accused today, he said.
“The accused has been transferred to Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu,” added the police spokesperson.
