JAMMU, Aug 8: Vipan Kumar Gupta @ Jhony S/o Sat Paul Gupta R/o Ward No. 6 Bari Brahmana, a notorious criminal, drug peddler as well as facilitator of bovine smuggling, was found involved in number of criminals cases was arrested under PSA.
According to police he has not only created multifarious law and order problems but also disturbing the peace and tranquility in the area. He was also forming a gang of criminals, expanding it and became a king pin for the youth who are interested in indulging in criminal activities and could go to any extent in order to spread their criminal activities.
Accordingly, in order to put an end to his activities, Samba Police compiled all the Police record of Vipan Kumar Gupta @ Jhony from various Police Stations of District Samba and other Districts, prepared his dossier and got issued his warrant of Public Safety Act from District Magistrate, Samba to prevent him from indulging in prejudicial criminal activities.
After the issuance of detention warrant, Vipan Kumar Gupta was absconding to evade his arrest. Thereafter, number of raids were conducted by the teams constituted by SSP Samba for his arrest but he kept on changing his location after regular intervals for evading his arrest. Today, Bari-Brahmana Police under the supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba, obtained custody of Vipan Kumar Gupta @ Jhony S/o Shri Sat Paul Gupta R/o Ward No. 6 Bari Brahmana from Police Post Narwal where he was apprehended in another criminal activity and lodged in District Jail Jammu after execution of warrant under PSA.
