JAMMU, Apr 15: Akhnoor Police today arrested a notorious criminal and detained him under Public Safety Act (PSA).
“On specific information, a team of Police Station Akhnoor arrested one habitual accused namely Vikash Singh alias Vinay son of Balbir Singh, resident of Bomal (Kot Garhi, Akhnoor) and detained him under PSA,” Police sources said.
It is pertinent to mention here that the accused person is notorious criminal of desperate character/history-sheeter of Police Station Akhnoor and was involved in many heinous criminal cases including, attempt to murder, stabbing, snatching etc.
The warrant of arrest under PSA was issued against the accused which was executed today by Inspector Harjeet Singh (SHO Police Station Akhnoor) under supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma and accused was lodged in Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal (Jammu).
