JAMMU, Jan 17: Police in Jammu District claimed today they have arrested a notorious criminal who was evading his arrest under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA).
Flex Matoo of Christian Colony, Jammu, was wanted in several cases registered at different police stations under different sections of IPC and Arms Act, a police official said.
“A warrant of arrest under PSA was also issued against the criminal,” he said.
Today, on getting information about presence of the criminal in the area, a team of Police Station City led by SHO City executed the arrest warrant by arresting the accused and shifting him to the Central Jail Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
