JAMMU, Oct 10: Miran Sahib Police arrested a notorious criminal along with pistol.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Miran Sahib led by SHO Inspector Mirza Sultan under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan apprehended a notorious criminal and recovered snatched pistol from his possession.
The arrested accused was identified as Mohammad Mushtaq alias Gungi, son of Musa Mohammad of Miran Sahib District Jammu.
It is pertinent to mention here that Gungi after threatening a person namely Om Parkash alias Oma Panch of Miran Sahib snatched his pistol and got absconding. Subsequently, a case under FIR Number 205/2020 under Section 382 IPC was lodged at Police Station Miran Sahib and hunt was launched to nab the accused.
The accused after being put to sustained questioning gave disclosure about the weapon which was subsequently recovered by police team of Police Station Miran Sahib. Police is also finding out some more clues about his other criminal acts.
It is also apt to mention that the accused person is involved in many FIRs registered in different Police Stations of Jammu ranging from theft, rape, smuggling of bovine animals and narcotics.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta.
