JAMMU, Oct 4: Police claimed here today that they have booked a notorious criminal under the PIT NDPS Act.
A police spokesperson said that Gourav Khajuria of Peerkho, Jammu, was wanted in several cases of drug peddling and dealing.
An information about his presence in the area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pacca Danga was received following which special teams of Police led by SDPO North Sunil Kesar assisted by SHO Pacca Danga Inspector Sushil Kumar raided at the suspected location and arrested the drug peddler, he said.
According to him, a warrant of arrest against the accused was issued by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu.
Today, in compliance of the directions of the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, the warrant got executed with the shifting of the accused to District Jail Kathua for facing further course of law.
