UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Notorious criminal and drug-peddler Surinder Singh alias Gogu alias Fouji has been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) and detained for a period of three months.
Acting on the dossier submitted by the SSP Udhampur, District Magistrate (DM) Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla booked Surinder Singh alias Gogu alias Fouji, son of Hardit Singh of Barrian, tehsil and District Udhampur, under Public Safety Act, 1978.
According to an order, issued in this regard by the DM, “accused Gogu alias Fouji is a notorious criminal and drug peddler supplying drugs to youths and spoiling their future. He is involved in a number of illegal activities and having strong disobedient character and proven disregard for law of land and terrorizing the people and against whom different FIRs are also lodged in Udhampur and Jammu districts”.
