SAMBA, Dec 30: A notorious criminal was booked under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) by Jammu and Kashmir Police in Ramgarh area of Samba District.
After his arrest, he has been lodged in district Jail Kathua.
Sunil Kumar of Radwan, Tehsil Ramgarh, district Samba, was involved in several cases registered at Police Stations Ramgarh, Ghagwal of Samba district and Police Stations Kathua, Rajbagh and Billawar of the Kathua district for his involvement in criminal activities, said a police official.
In order refrain the subject from indulging in further criminal activities, a dossier under the PSA was recommended against him, he said.
After getting satisfied with the dossier, the District Magistrate Samba issued a PSA warrant against him, he added.
The warrant was executed by a team of Police Station Ramgarh led by SHO Ramgarh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur and the overall supervision of SSP Samba Varinder Manhas, the police official further said.
