UDHAMPUR, May 20: District Police Udhampur has booked and detained a notorious criminal under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA).
The accused, namely Ajay Singh, son of Balbir Singh, resident of Shiv Nagar, Udhampur , has been booked under PSA for his criminal activities in the area and a number of cases registered against him in the Police Station Udhampur.
He was involved in a number of criminal activities, including attempt to murder, stabbing, snatching etc. Besides this, he was also involved in illicit trafficking of narcotics drugs and supplying them to youth.
On the directions of SSP Udhampur Dr Vinod Kumar, dossier for PSA on Ajay Singh was prepared and sent for necessary detention orders. After getting the detention orders, Ajay Singh was arrested by the team of Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Insp Raghubir Singh and Dy SP Hqrs Udhampur S Gurmeet Singh.
