REASI, Oct 31: Reasi Police booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Udhampur.
According to Police, Umer Waseem Ghani, son of Abdul Ghani, resident of village Bagga, Tehsil Mahore in District Reasi, was involved in a number of criminal cases.
He was involved in case FIRs registered in Police Station Mahore, Udhampur, Chenani, Nagrota, Kangra (Himachal Pradesh), Dharamshala (HP) etc under various criminal offences.
In view of his continuous involvement in variety of criminal cases and to safeguard the general public, his dossier for PSA was framed on the directions of SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta and sent for necessary order by the District Magistrate.
Following issuance of the order by Babila Rakwal, District Magistrate Reasi, the accused was arrested and lodged in District Jail Udhampur under Public Safety Act.
