Notorious criminal lands in police net

JAMMU, Mar 17: Miran Sahib police arrested a notorious criminal, who was at large since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Miran Sahib police station conducted raid and arrested a notorious criminal, who was evading his arrest since long.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Majid alias Babbal, son of Mohammad Hanief, a resident of Maralian, Miran Sahib.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 42/16 under Section 341, 353, 147, 148, 149, 336 and 427 RPC with police station Miran Sahib.
The accused was also wanted by police station Pir Mitha and Nagrota. He was also an absconder under Section 512 CrPC and was wanted by Police Station Banihal.
Further investigation into the cases registered against the accused is going on.
Meanwhile, Miran Sahib police also recovered sharp edged weapon (Dhah) used by the recently arrested criminal Dilbag Singh, son of Janak Singh of Simbal Camp.
Singh was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 28/16 under Section 458, 449, 504, 506 and 34 RPC and 3/25, 4/25 Arms Act with police station Miran Sahib. He was involved in number of attempt to murder cases.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Hilal Azhar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
