JAMMU, Dec 10: Police today arrested a notorious criminal along with country made pistol ‘desi katta’ and live cartridges from Panjtirthi.
As per polices sources, on specific inputs, police team from Panjtirthi police post and Pacca Danga police station laid a naka and nabbed a notorious criminal, who was riding on a motorcycle without registration number.
During checking, police recovered a country made pistol ‘desi katta’ and three live cartridges from the possession of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Rohan Thappa alias Kallu, son of Vishal Thappa, a resident of Gorkha Nagar.
The accused was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 171/14 under Section 323 and 341 RPC and 3/25 Arms Act with Pacca Danga police station.
The arrested notorious criminal was a history shetter and was involved in a case registered under Section 307 RPC with Bagh-e-Bahu police station. He was also involved in various cases registered at different police stations.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Panjtirthi Police Post SI Rajesh Kumar and SHO Pacca Danga Police Station Daljeet Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Perbeet Singh Parihar, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
