JAMMU, May 2: A notorious criminal of Punjab was arrested from Nagrota area here today, police said.
They said Amritpal Singh alias Kalla of Malliwar, Gurdaspur, Punjab was wanted in case FIR number 123/2020 under sections 302, 307, 34 IPC and 25/27/29 of the Arms Act registered at Police Station Maidpur, Jalandhar, Punjab.
Wanted in another case FIR number 2017/2023 under section 18C of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Udyog Vihar, Haryana, Singh was evading his arrest for the last four years, police said.
He was arrested today by a team of Police Station Nagrota and handed over to the Punjab Police.
