RAJOURI, Jan 7: The police arrested a notorious narcotics peddler during patrolling in Bareri area of Naushera today.
The police official said that a patrolling team of police from Naushera noticed one person under suspicious circumstances, who on seeing police team, tried to run away from the spot. Acting swiftly the patrolling party chased the suspicious person and apprehended him. The suspect was identified as Sunny Kumar alias Sundi, son of Jai Ram from Bareri area of Naushera.
On his personal search, 06 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession. The peddler was subsequently arrested on the spot. A case FIR No. 03/24 U/Ss 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Naushera in this connection. Further investigation was in progress.
