UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: Police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered eight grams of heroin like contraband substance from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehambal.
Police team from Police Station Rehambal, while performing vehicle checking duty, apprehended one person from Phalata Naka Point who turned to be suspicious as he tried to move fast after seeing police party.
On frisking, 08 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from possession of the apprehended person, identified as Latief Ahmed, son of Abdul Aziz of Sheikhpora, Budgam. He was arrested on the spot.
A case vide FIR No. 234/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in P/S Rehambal and further investigation was initiated.
