Notorious drug peddler arrested

JAMMU, May 8: Bagh-e-Bahu police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a notorious drug peddler along with 30 grams heroin, one small weighing machine and 2 syringes.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station laid a naka at Kalika Colony and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BJ-0975.
During checking, police recovered 30 grams heroin, one small weighing machine and 2 syringes from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mandeep Singh, son of Rajbir Singh, a resident of Shiv Nagar, Bandhu Rakh.
A case under FIR Number 40/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station and investigation started.
It is to mention that the accused was also arrested earlier in a case registered under FIR Number 8/17 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act with Police Station Bahu Fort.
Police team led by SHO Bagh-e-Bahu Police Station Inspector Satish Kumar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Arun Jamwal, SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
