Srinagar, May 8: Police today said that it arrested a drug peddler and recovered charas from his possession in Kupwara district of North Kashmir.
A police spokesman said acting on specific information, police apprehended a man identified as Fayaz Ahmad War from Drugmulla area of Kupwara. “Half a kilogram of charas was recovered from his possession,” he said.
Police have registered a case under FIR number 98/2017 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act against him and further investigation has been taken up, the spokesman added.
