REASI, Apr 17: Police arrested a notorious narcotics smuggler and recovered cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, during routine patrolling, a team from Reasi Police Station intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 470 grams of cannabis from the possession of the pedestrian and apprehended him.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Nazir alias Bulli, son of Farman Ali, a resident of Jadd.
The accused was also involved in cases registered under FIR Numbers 73/16 and 4/18 with Reasi Police Station and 131/13 with Police Station Kud.
A fresh case under FIR Number 86/18 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Reasi Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Reasi Inspector Ashwani Sharma and SI Qamar Din made the arrest supervision of DySP Satish Bhardwaj, Additional SP Reasi Virender Manhas and SSP Reasi Tahir Sajad Bhat.
