JAMMU, Sept 21: Bishnah Police arrested a notorious thief and recovered stolen items from his possession.
As per police sources, while investigation a case registered FIR Number 146/2021 under Sections 457 and 380 IPC, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan conducted series of raid and finally apprehended a notorious thief involved in the case.
The arrested thief was identified as Laba Ram, son of Sewa Ram of Kotli Charkan Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
On his disclosure, stolen items including three water pump motors, one fan, 3 hand pump pipes, 27 cement bags and 5 quintals iron rods were recovered.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Meanwhile, the similar team from Police Station Bishnah also solved a theft case registered under FIR Number 145/2021 under Section 379 IPC with the recovery of stolen motorcycle, while hunt continues to nab the thief.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Ramnish Gupta and SSP Jammu Chandan Kholi.
