JAMMU, Nov 1: Gangyal Police today booked a notorious thief under Public Safety Act (PSA).
The accused has been identified as Ayoub Ahmed son of Shamas Din, resident of Kodi Chandyal Billawar (at present Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana). He had committed day-time burglaries in different districts of Jammu Province.
On a tip off, a team of Police Station led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma and assisted by SHO Gangyal Inspector Ajay Singh Chib arrested the accused from a suspected location. The overall arrest was made under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid.
It is pertinent to mention that accused was a notorious and habitual thief and was involved in multiple theft cases. Several FIRs were registered against the accused in different police stations of Jammu province.
Moreover, a warrant of arrest was also issued against the accused under Public Safety Act( PSA ). Finally, today the accused was arrested under PSA.
