Sir,
The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide its judgement has abolished the old law of adultery by pronouncing that henceforth adultery will not be treated as offence in the eyes of law like other countries. Hon’ble Supreme Court have given equal rights to men and women to have extra martial relations which otherwise should have been discouraged. India is a country having different religions, ethos and deep belief in religious sentiments having long history of respect for saints, peers and faqirs.
By implementation of this law there would be a setback to Indian culture and this will pave a way for western culture. Everyone feels that western culture is leading the Indian society to social evils followed by crimes. The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India should have taken into consideration the Indian culture while delivering the judgement. The adultery should not be encouraged in any way in Indian society.
