UDHAMPUR, Dec 10: Raising the long pending genuine demand of locals of Tirchi Gandala area of Udhampur, former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia said that despite issuing tender, the work on Udhampur-Tirchi Gandala Road has not been started yet due to which villagers are facing many difficulties.
While leading a massive protest outside the office of PMGSY, Mankotia blamed that people’s of Tirchi Gandala were suffering due to the non- connectivity to the area and questioned the work policy of the PMGSY wing of the R&B Department. He said despite issuing tenders, the agency has failed to start the work on this road.
Later, a delegation of Tirchi Gandala people led by Balwant Singh Mankotia met the Executive Engineer PMGSY and demanded that work be started on Udhampur-Tirchi Gandala road without any more delay.
Party District voice president Sunil Gudda, Sarpanch Kuldeep Kumar, several Panches and a large number of local villagers accompanied the Ex-MLA.
