JAMMU, Apr 14: Supremo of National Panthers Party (NPP), Prof Bhim Singh today expressed satisfaction over the decision of the Union Government to allow separate ‘provincial secretariat’ in Srinagar and Jammu.
“The party in its resolution in the national convention held in August 2008 at Mavalankar Hall, New Delhi had passed a resolution in which the party demanded separate secretariats for Kashmir and Jammu throughout the year,” said Supremo.
He said that this decision shall be one of the needful facilities and shall avoid extra expenditure of about Rs 12 crores per year. Now, this money could be spent on the welfare schemes of the neglected sections.
“The district leadership of both the province should convey the message to every resident of the J&K that this move shall be highly beneficial for the people of Jammu as well as Kashmir,” he suggested.
State president (NPP), Balwant Singh Mankotia hoped that the reorganization process shall make a constructive roadway for the reorganization of J&K as proposed by JKNPP.
