JAMMU, May 24: Working Committee of National Panthers Party, convened by the Chairman Harsh Dev Singh here discussed the present political scenario of the State and the Party’s future course of action on the sensitive issue of AIIMS, new recruitment policy, daily wagers and contractual workers and the surrender of BJP leaders before the PDP at the cost of aspirations of the people of Jammu region.
The NPP Working Committee lauded the initiative taken by the Panthers Party to launch the colossal movement for the restoration of AIIMS to Jammu which was earlier served on a platter and gifted away to Kashmir by the BJP merely for the crumbs of power. It announced the NPP’s active involvement in the AIIMS restoration movement till it is carried on to its logical conclusion.
NPP chairman appealed to all the sections of the society including the businessmen, traders and shopkeepers, youth, intellectuals, various political and non-political organizations and the students to observe complete shut down on May 27 at all costs for the sake of Dogra’s pride and honour.
Launching attack on BJP Balwant Singh Mankotia wondered on the keen interest taken by the DyCM Nirmal Singh for underscoring the need for making a new Master Plan for Srinagar to convert it into a Smart City during a seminar organized by Srinagar Development Authority when his own Jammu city is burning with outrage with the infrastructural projects like flyovers amid the alarming traffic congestion, restoration of Mubarak Mandi complex, Mubarak Mandi-Bagh- e Bahu Cable Car Project, etc are gathering dust and seen nowhere. Mankotia cautioned the BJP to rake up Jammu centric issues or else withdraw from the Government.
