JAMMU, Sept 11: National Panthers Party (NPP) today urged the State Government to step up relief operations in whole of the State including Samba constituency.
Addressing a press conference, MLA Samba, Yash Pal Kundal said our workers visited in various villages of Samba consituency including Nud, Sumb, Srian, Sarna Chilla, Danga, Nangal, Nai Kali where people suffered major losses due to incessant rains and flash floods.
The flash floods damaged several houses, crops and power as well as water supply and people are suffering badly but till now no steps had been taken by the State Government to provide shelter to the affected families.
He called upon the State Government to immediately press into service all its man and machinery for immediate relief and rehabilitation of the affected people. He further demanded to provide alternate accommodation to those who became homeless due to floods.
