JAMMU, Nov 28: Adop-ting bottom-top approach, State president of National Panthers Party B S Mankotia in the presence of chairman of NPP Harsh Dev Singh and other senior leaders convened a meeting of district presidents to constitute committees at Panchayat, Block and Tehsil level to strengthen the party base, at party headquarters here today.
Addressing the leaders of the party, Harsh Dev Singh said that NPP was the only regional party of Jammu region which had been fighting for the cause of the Dogras right from the time of its inception both inside and outside the legislature. Mr Singh said that since the BJP had miserably failed to live up to the people’s expectations by timidly surrendering all the Jammu based issues before the Kashmir centric leaders for the lust of power, the people of Jammu region were reposing faith in the Panthers Party. He urged all the District presidents to work with zeal and determination and propagate the party’s agenda at the grass root level to strengthen and expand the party.
Mr Mankotia urged the District heads to empower NPP right from Panchayat to District level to expand the cadre. He said that NPP was the only regional party of Jammu region which had experienced, unblemished and competent leaders who could fight for the rights and justice of the people in letter and spirit. He claimed that the Panthers party had emerged as a sole voice of the Dogras and the Paharis which had raked- up all the Jammu Pradesh centric issues through protests at Jammu and in New Delhi while on roads.
Yashpal Kundal cautioned the people not to get hoodwinked again by the rhetoric and tall pronouncements of the Saffron party and exhorted them to support and strengthen their own Panthers Party for their bright future.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included PK Ganjoo, Rajesh Padgotra, Shankar Singh Chib, Ajay Singh, Sanjeet Kumar Sharma, Daleep Singh, Rehemat Chaudhary, Imtiyaz Ahamad, Shiv Charan Singh, SS Bali, Ghulam Mustfa and others.
