UDHAMPUR, May 13: Extending party support to the agitating women work force, former MLA and NPP State President Balwant Singh Mankotia questioned the coalition Government for its silence on the demands of Anganwadi helpers and workers in State.
A large number of Anganwadi helpers and workers have launched protest demonstration at district levels in State from past several months and Government has failed to address their genuine issues of agitators, regretted Mankotia.
Addressing the agitating Anganwadi helpers and workers at DC office complex here, Singh extended full support from the party for their genuine demands. He blamed that Government has failed to listen and address the demands of agitating Anganwadi workers and helpers, who are continuously protesting for their rights from last three months.
NPP has supported the protest demonstration of Anganwadi workers and helpers at Rajouri, Poonch, Pouni, Reasi, Kathua, Jammu and joined the protest dharna of women work force and even highlighted the issue on March 22 with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufi while submitting the memorandum, claimed Mankotia.
“Unfortunately, being a woman Chief Minister she has failed to address the plight of agitating Anganwadi workers and helper in State and a large number of women work force are agitating for their genuine right”, Mankotia said.
He warned that if Government fails to address the genuine issue of Anganwadi workers and helper, NPP would launch a mass movement in favour of agitating women work force in the State.
