JAMMU, Feb 10: While reiterating the demand of re-organisation of Jammu and Kashmir, Chief patron of J&K National Panthers Party (NPP), Prof Bhim Singh today said that there should be separate Civil Secretariats for Kashmir and Jammu regions.
Addressing a one day convention of Young Panthers organized under the leadership of Sayed Mohd Rafiq Shah (MLC), State president of Young Panthers here today, Prof Singh said with the reunion and reorganization of the State, many outstanding problems will be solved. For this, heart to heart talks with the leaders of occupied areas of J&K was must.
“So far as the reorganization is concerned, the Kashmir valley as well as Jammu Pradesh as per their geographical boundaries have to be guaranteed separate and independent constitutional status as the constituents of Union of India. To start with there should be separate Civil Secretariats in Jammu as well as in Srinagar”, Prof Bhim Singh maintained.
NPP leader further said that democracy was under serious threat because of political corruption and moral degradation and the solution lies in immediate political reforms, rather electoral reforms. There should debates in universities, legislatures and other forums regarding electoral reforms by involving people from all sections including political, social activists and youths of the country.
Chairman of the party Harshdev Singh (MLA), Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, senior leaders Daljit Singh, Bansi Lal, Anita Thakur, H C Jalmeria, Sayed Masood Andrabi, Jagdev Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Khajoor Singh and others also spoke on the occasion.
Rafiq Shah issued appeal to the people to join NPP or offer at least one member of the family to the party to realize the agenda of reunion and reorganization of the State. Senior vice president of Young Panthers Pushvinder Singh, Ishfaq Rana, Vilakshan Singh and others were also present.
