NPP intensifies campaign

POONCH, Nov 27: To garner support of Panchs and Sarpanchs for its candidates in December 3 MLC elections under Panchayat quota, National Panthers Party (NPP) held rallies at Surankote, Poonch and Mendhar.
In a rally held at Surankote, Sarpanch and District President of Poonch Panchayat Empowerment Committee, Ashfaq Raina declared that the Panchs and  Sarpanchs would support Panthers Party candidates.
At Poonch, Panchs and Sarpanchs during a meeting, which was presided over by Chaman Lal Sharma, district president, NPP, Coalition Government was criticized for the miseries and the sufferings of the people living in the border areas.
The meeting of the Sarpanchs and Panchs at Mendhar along LoC was presided over by Sarpanch Naseem Khan. Sarpanch Habibullah, President of Mendhar Panchayat Empowerment Committee in which Panchs and Sarpanchs  extended full support to NPP candidates.
Sudesh Dogra, political secretary, NPP appealed to the Panchs and Sarpanchs, particularly, the women members of the Panchayats to vote in favour of Panthers Party candidates, Anita Thakur and Mohd Rafiq Chandel.
While speaking, Anita Thakur promised that she will fight for the empowerment of the Panchayats if given chance to represent them in the Legislative Council.
Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron, NPP, made strong appeal to the Sarpanchs and the Panchs to vote for the Panthers Party’s candidates for empowerment of  Panchayats in J&K.
