UDHAMPUR, Oct 7: Intensifying the Haq-insaaf yatra started for separate Jammu state more vigorously, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia disclosed that party will launch Tiranga yatra at district level to celebrate the accession day with enthusiasm to unite nationalistic people.
The Tiranga yatra would start from October 8 to 27 at district level to celebrate the accession day with pomp and show. Leading the Haq-insaaf yatra for separate Jammu state Mankotia reached Udhampur on Saturday.
While addressing the gatherings at Satani, Karowa, Jaganoo, Jib, Thathi, Sunadi, Chak etc, ex-MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia disclosed that party has decided to launch Tiranga yatra from October 8 to 27 October at district level to commemorate the 71st accession day in the State. A large number of people of these areas joined the separate Jammu state movement to seek right and justice for the people Jammu region.
Mankotia said that it is our privilege that Maharaja Hari Singh provide us opportunity to become Indian citizen by singing the instrument of accession J&K with India. On accession day, NPP used to celebrate accession day at district level and now has decided to organize Tiranga yatra at district level with enthusiasm.
NPP president further said that on October 27, 1947 State became part of Union of India after signing of instruments of accession but unfortunately this day remain neglected by not announcing holiday or to commemorate this day like August 15 and January 26 and due to pressure from Kashmiri leaders, importance was not given to accession day.
Expressing deep anguish, Mankotia said those involved in loot and violence on July 31, 1931 in Kashmir were given status of martyrs and day announced official holiday but accession day was ignored by the successive regimes in State. Mankotia informed that Tiranga yatra would start on October 8 from Samba, Oct 9 from Reasi, October 11 from Udhampur, Oct 12 Rajouri, Oct 13 Poonch, Oct 14 Ramban-Doda, Oct 15 Kathua and October 20 Kishtwar. On October 27 Tiranga yatra would be organized in Jammu to celebrate the Accession day.
