NPP organises one day convention at Ramban

RAMBAN, Feb 20: The Trade Union wing of the National Panthers Party (NPP) organized one day convention at Dak Bangalow here today.
State President of the party,  Balwant Singh Mankotia was the chief guest on the occasion. A large number of  party workers from different parts of  Ramban district joined the convention. A resolution was also passed unanimously  in the convention that Ramban people will not allow the Gammon India Ltd to recruit even single labour weather it is skilled or unskilled from out side the Ramban district for the ongoing four lanning  work from Nashri to Banihal.
Party workers also took a procession from Dak Banglow Ramban up to the office of Gammon India Ltd Co  and  submitted a memorandum to the management of the company highlighting that  they will not allow any outsider to work on 40 lanning highway project in Ramban district.
While addressing the gathering Mankotia said that it has already been conveyed to the officers of the Gammon company that the local youth, labours (skilled/ unskilled) should be given preference in the company. Mr Mankotia urged the company management that who have lost their land, shops, houses in 4 lanning National Highway widening work should be given preference in the company as contractor, labour, operators etc.
He said that if company fails to come up to the expectation of local public, the NPP  Trade Union will start agitation  against Gammon India Ltd  for which company will be responsible it self for any law and order problem.
