NPP protests outside Parliament, demands Governor rule in J&K

NEW DELHI, Mar 13:   National Panthers Party today held a massive protest in front of the Parliament this afternoon against the killings of CRPF jawans in Srinagar. The party demanded immediate dismissal of the J&K Government comprising National Conference and Congress, alleging it has failed to protect the lives and property of the people.
The Party held  Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah directly responsible for this massacre as the local police have failed to act. The Party further accused the State Government of found wanting for diverting the attention of the Centre from Faizan episode and Yousuf Haji’s custodial murder by creating horror in the State.
The NPP activists led by its Chief Patron, Prof Bhim Singh, today protested in front of Parliament. Prof Singh in his brief message to the people and the Members of the Parliament said that J&K Government has failed on all fronts and become a security risk. Therefore we demand Governor rule in J&K. Later, Prof Bhim Singh along with several Party activists was arrested.
In its emergency meeting organized today through video conference, Party leaders urged Governor, N N Vohra to exercise his power u/s 92 of the Constitution of J&K by dismissing the present Government  which is loathed in corruption besides has proved mother of terrorism in J&K.  It said that the Chief Minister who has taken oath to uphold the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India had declared on the floors of the Assembly that Accession of J&K with the Union of India is not complete and further defied the Supreme Court judgment by calling a convict as, ‘Hon’ble’ (Sahib).
The Panthers Party appealed the Members of the Parliament irrespective of their party affiliation or political ideologies to amend Article 370 of the Constitution of India empowering the Parliament to legislate in respect of Central Subjects vis-à-vis J&K to strengthen national integration.
Meanwhile, Prof Bhim Singh along with several Party activists was arrested in front of Parliament House while protesting against the killing of CRPF jawans in Srinagar.
