JAMMU, May 23: While criticizing Govt for befooling the people for the past five years over the much awaited deportation of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis from Jammu region, a strong contingent of Panthers Party activists led by party chairman Harsh Dev Singh staged a protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground here today.
While raising slogans against the BJP and the Governor’s administration, the infuriated activists sought repatriation of the illegally settled foreigners from Dogra land without any further delay.
Accusing the Congress, NC, PDP of openly supporting Rohingyan settlement in the State, Harsh Dev further took a jibe at Kashmir based IAS officer turned politician who celebrated his birthday with the Rohingyas in Jammu city recently.
“A new kid on the block who has floated JKPM went one notch above his Kashmiri compeers to placate the illegal immigrants in a bid to toe the separatist agenda in the city of temples. This is intolerable. Why is Saffron brigade silent over the issue? Why did Governor’s administration fail to take cognizance of the JKPM-Rohingya meet? Shockingly in the last 5 years, the Central leaders only issued stereotype statements for mere media consumption and nothing tangible happened,” Singh remarked.
NPP leader alleged that the Rohingyan population soared and flourished under erstwhile BJP-PDP coalition which provided them all kinds of civic amenities to settle them in and around Jammu city under a deep rooted conspiracy to reduce Dogras to minority. What a shame that in the State like ours the perfidy of placating illegal immigrants, subversives, surrendered militants and anti nationals remained en-vogue but the martyrs  continued to be disregarded with no acknowledgement to their supreme sacrifice. Has anybody bothered to pay visit to the family of martyr Imran Tak, a native of Basantgarh who despite being critically wounded eliminated militants in a deadliest ambush attack in Kashmir? Ironically, neither any ex-gratia nor gallantry award was announced for the martyred Sub Inspector”, regretted Harsh.
Dubbing Rohingyas as the biggest threat to the communal harmony and composite culture of Jammu Pradesh, Harsh Dev divulged that these illegal immigrants were described as ‘ticking time bombs’ by the intelligentsia.
