JAMMU, May 5: Expressing concern over the lack of political will shown by the BJP led NDA Government in appropriately responding to the recreant misadventures of Pakistan executed both on the borders as well as in the Valley, National Panthers Party  activists led by Harsh Dev Singh, party chairman staged a protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground here today.
The agitated protesters shouted slogans against the persistent violations of our territorial integrity by Pak and huge collateral damage in the form of loss of life and property. Several Panthers women activists sent ‘bangles’ to the BJP Union Ministers for their impuissance to take stern action against the belligerent neighbour.
While addressing the media,  Harsh Dev said that the Pakistan’s cowardly act of killing the two Indian soldiers and their decapitation in Poonch sector on May 1st had triggered outrage all across the country. He regretted that the Government was irresponsive to the public outcry filled with the feeling of vengeance asking for retaliatory strikes.
He said with the inflamed passions conflagrating the entire nation, the Govt must feel the mood of the nation and counter the enemy with the befitting reprisals. He said that it was high time to give free hand to the Indian Army to deal with internal and external threats so that it could pay back the enemy in the same coin.
Anguished over the Pakistan’s carnage in Krishna Ghati, Harsh Dev questioned BJP that where the slogan of  ‘beheading ten heads of the enemy in lieu of each martyred Indian jawan’ vanished when the mauled bodies of the slain soldiers were returned to their bereaved families. He reminisced that the gruesome attack in Poonch had been preceded by a series of similar Pak misadventures including the Uri attack, Pathankot attack, Nagrota attack, Allah Peer attack besides frequent attacks on the defence personnel in Kashmir killing and injuring hundreds and thousands of Indian soldiers.
He alleged that the Union Govt was  pursuing appeasement policy towards the Kashmiri secessionists while it had tied the hands of Army after coming to power with standing instructions to the Armed forces from both the Central and State Governments to exercise restraint in the face of even gravest of provocations.
