JAMMU, Mar 26: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) leadership has urged upon the President of India, Ramnath Kovind to provide security cover to all the senior party leaders at par with other recognized political parties in J&K and Ladakh.
Addressing a press conference here today, party president, Prof Bhim Singh said that senior NPP leaders in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh have been intentionally denied security cover which is available to activists of other political parties in UTs.
He claimed that security cover of NPP leaders was withdrawn in 2019 when the State of J&K was converted into two UTs.
Bhim Singh declared that the Panthers Party shall launch constitutional, political and peaceful movement for the restoration of Statehood to J&K with implementation of all Fundamental Rights, provided in the Constitution of India so that Assembly elections are held at the earliest, with an end to the President’s rule.
Senior leaders PK Ganju, Masood Andrabi, Anil Gour, Hakiqat Singh and Anita Thakur also accompanied Bhim Singh.
