NPP starts campaign for reorganization of J&K

JAMMU, Jan 18: National Panthers Party (NPP) today started the campaign for the reorganization of the State by holding rallies in Kathua and Samba districts.
Addressing several rallies in the districts of Kathua and Samba districts, Chief Patron of NPP Prof Bhim Singh asked the youth especially the students to join “Chetna Abhiyan” to demolish corruption, communalism and criminalization in politics, so that the people of Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu will live in honour and dignity and share the fruits of the Indian Constitution.
Prof Bhim Singh declared that development of the Billawar-Basohli-Bani sector is possible only with district status and assured the people that Mashedi and Buggan will be given Block Status.
In Kathua, Panthers Party leaders demanded Delimitation of the Assembly constituencies without any delay so that the neglected areas like Jathana will be brought on the map of development.
In Samba, Panthers Party demanded that Samba Truck Union should be treated at par with outside trucks and the discrimination against Samba Truck Union must end.
Prof Bhim Singh served one week ultimatum to Samba Police to stop the loot or face consequences.
While paying tributes to Hem Raj who was beheaded by Pak Army, Prof Singh said that his martyrdom has exposed the entire security lapses along the Indian borders in the East and the Western sectors.
A committee to look into the grievances of Samba Truck Union was constituted under local MLA, Yashpaul Kundal in consultation with the Samba Truck Union.
Among others who addressed the rallies were Yashpaul Kundal, MLA, genral secretaries HC Jalmeria and Anita Thakur, president of Kathua District, Ravinder Pathania and president of Samba District, Shiv Charan Singh.
