UDHAMPUR, Nov16: Former MLA and NPP president Balwant Singh Mankotia has extended the party support in favour of pony/mule operators and business community of Katra town, who are protesting against NGT order on plying battery car on new track to the cave shrine.

Addressing a press conference, here today, Mankotia said that NPP was in favour of providing better facilities to the devotees coming from outside the State and abroad to pay obeisance at Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine but the attempts to snatch employment from locals in Katra would not be tolerated, “NPP will not allow anyone to play with the future of our people,” he warned and added that the militancy has already created unemployment in the State.
NPP president also criticized Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for its wrong policies, which are causing decline of Yatra from one crore to 70 lakh.
