JAMMU, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today decided to celebrate its foundation day on March 23 at Party Headquarter, here.
Earlier, NPP foundation day celebration was fixed at Parade Ground Jammu but it had to be changed under the present circumstances created by coronavirus.
An urgent meeting of JKNPP secretariat was held today in which chairman, Harsh Dev Singh, president, Balwant Singh Mankotia, vice presidents, Ch Mohd Iqbal, Masood Andrabi, general secretary, Anita Thakur and others were present while Prof Bhim Singh was also present as special invitee.
The secretariat in a message to the working committee of the party, District presidents have called on the leadership to hold a brief get-together at NPP headquarters Jammu in commemoration of party’s 39th foundation day.
The secretariat decided that the election for the post of chairman and the president of NPP have been postponed till August, to launch a membership campaign by issuing fresh membership at all districts level, district committees shall continue till election for the chairman and president, the president shall hold all the district meeting for the district president and constitute fresh committees of the party, students wing and trade unions.
It was also decided that all vice presidents who are retiring or are not physically fit to hold office shall be honoured and the vacancies shall be filled in accordance with the constitution.
