JAMMU, Feb 12: Urging upon the people to support and strengthen Panthers Party, Harshdev Singh Chairman JKNPP and former Minister today said that the indefatigable Panthers would continue their struggle for justice to Jammu region and for ending all forms of discrimination against Dogra land.
He said that the JKNPP had organized 62 dharnas and protest demonstrations in Jammu and New Delhi during the last one year besides several awareness rallies to project multifarious concerns of Jammu region and to make the people aware about the bias perpetuated against Duggar Pradesh by successive regimes. He said that the Party’s crusade for justice and honour to Dogra land shall continue and vowed to take the fight for Jammu cause to its logical conclusion. He was addressing a public meeting at Majalta today organized by tehsil unit of Panthers Party.
Singh said that the national parties were not the solution to the local problems of the people which could be addressed by regional parties alone. He regretted that the national parties which mesmerized and lured the people during the Assembly elections with the help of national leaders and Bollywood actors giving seductive speeches and captivating slogans failed the people after elections with not a single word emanating from any quarter for the fulfillment of the election promises. He said that BJP which had been given an unprecedented mandate by the people of Jammu region had not only betrayed the trust reposed in it but, by its lust for power it, had pushed the Dogra land to terminal decline. He said that it was under such circumstances that Panthers Party has risen to the occasion to assume the mantle of Jammu’s savior and had become the most credible voice of the people of Jammu region and was being seen as a viable alternative to the National parties.
